Opportunities

Clinical Positions

Our physicians provide comprehensive patient care, offering one practice for the whole person with more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. As members of The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences faculty, our providers are teachers and mentors for medical students, residents, and researchers preserving our rich tradition of academics, research, and healing. In addition to maintaining a close alliance with The George Washington University and The George Washington University Hospital, we have active referring relationships with 12 area hospitals.

We offer unique opportunities in research and academics, and a satisfying patient-centered care delivery model. Our nurses are empowered to explore new talents and contribute their ideas. We pride ourselves on our collaborative nursing environment, which encourages interdisciplinary approaches to patient care and enriches the healthcare team experience. Often serving as the face of the practices to our patients, our nurses are highly valued members of our team.

Non-Clinical

Providing high-quality, patient-centered care and achieving the best outcomes for our patients requires the contributions of our entire professional network. The work our administrative, operations and support staff does to support clinical care is critical to the success of the organization. Whether you’re in customer service, IT, call center, purchasing, finance, human resources, marketing, or medical records, teamwork reigns supreme at The GW Medical Faculty Associates.

Community Practices

Our leading healthcare presence in the DC metro region is complemented by a network of community-based practices in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, including Adventist Medical Group and GW Immediate & Primary Care clinics, which are wholly-owned subsidiaries of The GW Medical Faculty Associates.

Community practices are an integral part of our care delivery model and help us extend our healthcare reach well beyond Washington, DC. If you choose to work for one of our community practices, you can expect the same high clinical standards and a passion for innovation.

We Care For Your Well-Being at the MFA

At GW MFA, we stand committed to helping our faculty and staff with life's challenges, and that commitment is stronger than ever during the current period of uncertainty. As we go through this shared experience as a world and community, it's important that we remain focused on our health and take time out of our day to practice self-care.

Headspace, the mindfulness app, is now available to benefits-eligible faculty and staff. This daily tool provides meditation, sleep, movement exercises, and kids programs. The "Weathering the Storm" section is specially designed in response to the unique stress caused by the pandemic. While it is our hope that giving you access to this resource provides you with some immediate support, the importance of caring for your mental well-being extends beyond our current situation.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at GW Medicine

At GW Medicine, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone—patients, staff, and the communities we serve—feels respected, valued, and empowered. We believe that diversity strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional care and innovative solutions, and we recognize that equity is essential to achieving health outcomes that benefit all.

We celebrate the diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives of our team members and patients. We strive to ensure that everyone has equal access to care and opportunities, free from discrimination or bias. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is woven into everything we do, from recruiting and developing our workforce to designing and delivering care that addresses the unique needs of the individuals and communities we serve.

By championing diversity, equity, and inclusion, we aim to:

  • Provide culturally competent care that recognizes and respects the differences in patients' needs, values, and preferences.

  • Address health disparities by eliminating systemic barriers that prevent access to quality healthcare for historically underserved populations.

  • Cultivate a welcoming, safe, and inclusive workplace that supports the professional growth and well-being of all team members, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic background.

We are dedicated to continuous learning, reflection, and action to create a healthcare system that upholds dignity, promotes equity, and ensures that everyone thrives.
